The world Fastest Interceptor was serving the Soviet and still serving the Russia now.
The Mig-31 Nato reported name Foxhound was built in 1975 based on the Mig-25. Its weight is 10000 pounds interceptor could accelerate up to 1900 mph and climb to 65000ft. The Mig-31 can detect aerial target within a range of 180mile, low flying targets can be detect by an infrared sensor. The interceptor fire control system allows to fire at four targets and track ten targets. The interceptor Mig-31 is serving the Mother Russia for 41 year now.
